Overview

Providing feedback on uploaded video assets in TODA Live is easier and more structured with our Media Annotations feature. Whether you're reviewing dailies, giving precise edit notes, or collaborating on creative decisions, you can now leave time-coded comments directly on video assets—creating a more dynamic and interactive review process.

Navigate Media Annotations

NOTE: Annotations are not available for live streams. 

1. From the Media tab of the Host Control Panel (HCP), upload a video asset to your room.
   
   
2. Next, select the Media/File Browser and find your uploaded asset.
   
   
3. Right click the asset, and select Present.
   
   
   
4. Hover over your media to reveal the media's playback bar.
   
   
5. Scrub through the video and select the exact frame where you want to leave your annotation.
   
   
6. Then, click the Annotations button.
   
   
   
7. Add your comment in the field below.
     
   

   NOTE:The annotation input visibility is local to each user—when you click the Annotations button , the selected video will enter full-screen mode on your screen, without affecting others in the session. If multiple videos are presented, you’ll only see the one you’re annotating.
   

   
   

8. Click Send to add your comment.
    
   

   TODA TIP: Find your annotation marked on the playback bar with your profile photo. This allows you to easily identify and jump to specific comments.
   
   

   
   

Every annotation you make is recorded in the Annotations subtab within the asset’s Details page for easy reference. Hosts and Co-Hosts have full access to all annotations within the room.

If you need to add a general comment that isn’t tied to a timestamp, simply click on the time indicator in the annotation input to leave an untimed note.
