Step 4: Configure Playback and Audio Settings in Premiere Pro

Before streaming into your TODA Live room, ensure your playback and audio settings are properly configured, especially when using multiple devices, to achieve the best experience. Here’s how:

  1. From the menu bar, click Premiere Pro

  1. Select Settings and click Playback.

  1. From the Preferences window, select TODA Live Transmitter as your Primary Audio Device.

*Selecting TODA Live as your primary audio source is recommended if you prefer to route audio output directly to TODA Live. For dual-audio support, choose Adobe Desktop Audio as the Primary option.

  1. Click OK to save changes.

Step 5: Share Stream to Your TODA Live Room

  1. Locate the TODA Live room where you will be streaming to and click Connect.

  1. Here, you can adjust your feed through the Settings tab.

NOTE: You will need to be a Host to modify streaming settings, such as Video Resolution, Frame Rate and Bitrate. While default settings will achieve high-quality streaming, Advanced options are available for further customization.

Additionally, streaming settings cannot be changed during an active session.

To update settings:

1. Stop the stream.
*The stream will automatically be removed from your TODA Live room.

2. Adjust the settings.

3. Restart the stream.

  1. Next, click the Input tab.

  1. Select the contents and audio you want to share.

  • By default, you will find options for Playback and Full screen. Also, when streaming, only audio from one stream can be shared.

TODA TIP: To share specific Premiere Pro Panels, follow these simple steps:

1. Find the Panel you’d like to share and click its menu button.

2. Select Undock Panel.

3. From the Input tab, click the Refresh button, and the Panel will then appear as an available input option.

  1. Once your inputs have been selected, click Start to share the feed directly to your TODA Live room.

  • From your TODA Live room, a live stream will be presented and additional features will be accessible through the Media Tab of the Host Control Panel (HCP).

  1. Lastly, use the Preview tab to monitor your feed.

Now, you can easily stream your Adobe Premiere Pro project directly in your TODA Live room and engage in edit-over-the-shoulder sessions!

Known Limitations: Adobe Premiere Pro Plugin

  • Renaming a Room: Participants that are not Hosts have the ability to change the room name from Adobe Premiere. However, these changes are not permanently saved in TODA Live.

  • RTSP Bitrate Options: When selecting Constant (CBR) or Variable (VBR) in the Bitrate type on RTSP protocol, you may experience occasional audio disruptions.

  • Resizing Streams

    • macOS Device: Adjusting the size of a streaming window on macOS may cause the stream to stop. However, it can easily be restarted without any complications.

    • Windows Device: For Entire Screens or unlocked Panels, when resizing or minimizing streaming windows while a stream is live, will stop the stream and prompt an error message.

  • Sharing on Windows Device: Child windows, or windows that are launched and contained within a parent window, from Adobe Premiere Pro cannot be shared.

  • Playback: Selecting from playback options or seeking through media may result in audio disruptions.

  • Audio:

    • Switching to an audio track with a different sample rate while a stream is running, may lead to audio disruptions.

    • For a consistent, high-fidelity audio experience with the TODA Live plugin, we recommend using a wired headset or high-quality USB microphone, as Bluetooth headsets may affect audio quality. When the microphone is active, Bluetooth headsets often switch to mono (instead of stereo) and reduce the sample rate to around 16 or 24 kHz—below professional standards and potentially introducing noticeable artifacts. For optimal performance, audio output with a sample rate of 44.1 kHz or higher is recommended. However, using a Bluetooth headset for audio output with a separate microphone is also a suitable option.
