Step 1: Install the Coresee Avid Media Composer Plugin
Visit the Coresee downloads page.
Navigate to the Avid Media Composer Plug-in section, and download the package for macOS or Windows.
NOTE: Ensure that Avid Media Composer is closed. If left open, you will be required to restart the installation process.
The plugin will automatically begin downloading.
After downloading, open your device’s Downloads folder and run the Installer.
Navigate through the prompts until the CoreseeTransmitter Plugin is successfully installed.
Step 2: Add the Coresee Transmitter Panel to Your Avid Media Composer Project
- Open or create a new Avid Media Composer project.
- From your project timeline, right-click on the HW/SW button.
- A dropdown menu will appear.
- Hover over Coresee Transmitter, and click Select.
- Click on the HW/SW button again, to activate the Coresee Transmitter.
- Once the HW/SW button is activated, it will turn red.
- Next, to open the Coresee Panel, right click on HW/SW.
- Hover Coresee transmitter and click Configure.
- In the Panel, enter the email address linked to your Coresee account.
- A list of rooms available will then be displayed.
Step 3: Share Stream to Your Coresee Room
- Locate the meeting room where you will be streaming to and click Connect.
- Here, you can prepare your live stream through the Settings tab.
- Next, click the Input tab.
- By default, you will find options for Playback and Full screen. Also, when streaming, only audio from one stream can be shared.
- Select the contents and audio you want to share.
Once your inputs have been selected, click Start to share the feed directly to your meeting room.
From your meeting room, a live stream will be presented and additional features will be accessible through the Media Tab of the Control Panel.
Selecting the Playback Input streams the window you’re actively editing in, whether it’s the Record Monitor or Source Monitor. Switching windows during the stream updates the view in the meeting room in real time.
You will need to be a Host to modify streaming settings, such as Video Resolution, Frame Rate and Bitrate. While default settings will achieve high-quality streaming, Advanced options are available for further customization.
Additionally, streaming settings cannot be changed during an active session.
To update settings:
1. Stop the stream. The stream will automatically be removed from your meeting room.
2. Adjust the settings.
3. Restart the stream.
To share specific Avid Panels:
1. Find the Panel you’d like to share and click on the Panel name.
2. Select Float this Panel.
3. From the Input tab, click the Refresh button, and the Panel will then appear as an available input option.
Now, you can easily view your Avid Media Composer project directly in your Coresee room and engage in edit-over-the-shoulder sessions!
