Overview

Grant permissions for the TODA Live Client 

The following instructions are intended to work for most desktop versions of macOS and Windows. However, some versions may have additional security measures for granting permissions for your camera and microphone. 


macOS - Video Permissions

Grant Video Permissions

During your initial setup of TODA Live on your macOS device, your system will prompt you to grant access to your video camera. The prompt will look similar to this:



1. Click OK to grant permission for TODA Live to access your camera.

 

OR


Click Don’t Allow, if you do not want to grant TODA Live permission to use the video feature.



Edit Video Permissions

If you did not grant TODA Live access to your video camera during the initial setup, you can still enable it by following these steps:


1. Locate the Apple icon, located in the top left-hand corner of your device. 


2. From the dropdown menu, select System Settings. Once you click on System Settings, a new window will open with a menu of options displayed on the left-hand side of the window.



3. Navigate to and click the Privacy & Security option. This may require you to scroll down to find the option in the Systems Settings menu.


4.  To the right of the Privacy & Security option, locate the Camera option. 




5. To the right of the TODA Live icon, switch the toggle to the on position to update your settings.


6. Make sure to have enabled camera permission for your browser as well.




macOS - Audio Permissions 

Grant Microphone Permissions

During your initial setup of TODA Live on your macOS device, your system will prompt you to grant access to your microphone. The prompt will look similar to this:



1. Click OK to grant permission for TODA Live to access your microphone.

 

OR


Click Don’t Allow, if you do not want to grant TODA Live permission to utilize the microphone and sound features.


Edit Microphone Permissions

If you did not grant TODA Live access to your microphone during your initial setup, you can still enable it by doing the following:


1. Locate the Apple icon, located at the top left-hand corner of your device. 


2. From the dropdown menu, select System Settings. Once you click on System Settings, a new window will open with a menu of options displayed on the left-hand side of the window.



3. Navigate to and click the Privacy & Security option. This may require you to scroll down to find the option in the Systems Settings menu.



4. To the right of the Privacy & Security option, locate the Microphone




5. To the right of the TODA Live icon, switch the toggle to the on position to update your settings.



6. Be sure to enable microphone permissions for your browser.



Windows - Video Permissions 

Grant Video Permissions

During your initial setup of TODA Live on your Windows device, your system may prompt you to grant access and to select your preferred camera output.


1. Select the Always Allow option, if you would like to enable use of your camera with TODA Live.  

 

OR


Select the Deny if you would not like for TODA Live to have access to your device's camera. 


2. After making your selection, click the Done button to save the changes in your settings. Any changes you make will take effect immediately.


Edit Video Permissions 

If you didn't give TODA Live access to your camera during the initial setup, you can enable it by following these steps:


1. Locate and click the Start icon, typically found on the bottom left-hand corner of your device. A window will appear with device apps to choose from. 



2. From the options, select or search for the Settings icon. It may look similar to this: 



3. Once you click on Settings, a new window will open with various options. Select the Privacy & Security option, which may be located on the left-hand side of the window.



4. To the right of the window, you will find a list of Window Permissions. Under the App permissions section, select Camera. Be aware that this may require you to scroll down to locate this option.


5. From here, you’ll be presented with the option to allow or deny TODA Live from using your device's camera for future meetings.


Windows - Audio Permissions

Grant Microphone Permissions 

During your initial setup of TODA Live on your Windows device, your system will ask you to allow or deny TODA to use your microphone.


1. Select the Allow option, if you would like to enable use of your microphone with TODA Live.  

 

OR


Select the Deny if you would not like for TODA Live to have access to your devices audio. 


2. After making your selection, click the Done button to save the changes in your settings. Any changes you make will take effect immediately.

3. Once you click on Settings, a new window will open with various options. Select the Privacy & Security option, which may be located on the left-hand side of the window.



4. To the right of the window, you will find a list of Window Permissions. Under the App permissions section, select Microphone. Be aware that this may require you to scroll down to locate this option.


5. From here, you’ll be presented with the option to enable or disable TODA Live from using your device's microphone for future meetings.



Your device’s camera and microphone are now ready for use in your upcoming meeting! You can now close the Systems Preferences window.
