How to Present a PDF in a Room

Modified on Thu, 25 Jun at 3:58 AM

There are two main ways to present a PDF in a room: by uploading the file directly into the room or by sharing your screen.

Option 1: Upload Your PDF to the Room

  1. Join the room as a host or co-host.
  2. Open the Control Panel.
  3. Go to the Media tab.
  4. Click the + button and select Add from computer.
    • Alternatively, you can drag and drop your PDF file directly into the Media tab.
  5. Your PDF will upload to the room and appear as a thumbnail.
  6. Click and drag the PDF thumbnail onto the Experience area, then click Let’s Go.
  7. Your PDF is now live in the room!
    • You’ll see navigation controls (page switcher) on the PDF.
    • As you move through the pages, everyone in the meeting will see your presentation in real time.

Advantages of uploading:

  • Seamless experience for participants: Everyone sees the same page at the same time, with no lag.
  • Built-in page navigation: Use the page switcher directly in Coresee without needing extra apps.
  • Cleaner interface: Keeps the focus on your PDF, without showing your desktop or notifications.
  • Easier media management: Switch quickly between your PDF and other media in the room.
  • Shared access for the team: Once uploaded, the PDF stays available in the room. Other co-hosts can access it, download it, or even present it later — no need to re-upload.

Option 2: Screen Share Your PDF

If you don’t want to upload your file, you can share it directly from your desktop using screen share.

Note: The steps below describe how to share using the Chrome browser. The experience may differ slightly if you’re using another browser or the Coresee desktop app.

  1. Open your PDF on your desktop (e.g., in Preview, Adobe Acrobat, or another PDF viewer).
  2. In your Coresee room, click the Screen Share icon on the bottom bar.
  3. Select the window showing your PDF.
  4. Click Share.

Your participants will now see your PDF as you present from your desktop.
