Join a Room

There are a few ways to enter a Coresee room, depending on whether you have an account and how the room is configured.

From the homepage

If you have a Coresee account, your rooms appear on the homepage. Select a room and click the Join button to join the session. Rooms you've been invited to also appear here alongside your own.

Via meeting link

Every room has a unique meeting link. Anyone with the link can join — with or without a Coresee account. If the room has Login Required enabled or is private, they must sign in first.

Via dial-in

When dial-in is enabled on a room, participants can call in using a phone number and passcode. Dial-in details are available in the room's Settings tab and can be shared alongside the meeting link.

What happens at the entry point

When you go to enter a room, what you experience depends on how the room is configured. There are four possible outcomes.

You enter directly Enters

No entry conditions are active

If the room has no special access controls enabled, you go straight in as soon as you open the link or click Join from the homepage. The session starts (or you join a session already in progress) immediately.

You wait for the host Waits

Host Required is on

If the room has Host Required enabled, the session cannot begin until the host enters. You'll see a waiting screen. Once the host joins, the session starts and you enter automatically — there's nothing else you need to do.

This applies to all participants, regardless of how they joined (homepage, meeting link, or dial-in).

You wait in the lobby Waits

Host Required + Host Control Admission are both on

If the room also has Host Control Admission enabled, you'll be placed in a lobby once the host is present. The host sees your name in their participant panel and can admit or deny you individually. You can't enter until the host admits you.

If multiple people are waiting, the host can admit everyone at once or handle each person one at a time.

You're asked to sign in Sign-in required

Login Required is on

If the room has Login Required enabled, you must have a Coresee account and be signed in to enter. Guests — people without an account — cannot join this room at all. If you arrive via meeting link and aren't signed in, you'll be redirected to the Coresee sign-in page before you can proceed.
